# Factory Battery Storage — First Assessment Checklist

CIMC ENRIC Energy Systems · Version 1.0 · 07 October 2026

Purpose: prepare a bill-and-load discussion before specifying battery size or forecasting savings. Fill unknown items as **unknown**. This form does not establish an engineering design, quotation, utility approval or performance guarantee.

## Project and objective

- Country / city:
- Facility type and production shifts:
- Project role: owner / energy manager / EPC / dealer / other:
- Primary objective: demand management / energy shifting / solar use / critical-load backup / other:
- Proposed operating date and known production changes:

## 1. Bills and tariff

- Attach up to 12 consecutive monthly bills; period covered:
- Currency, taxes and any non-energy items:
- Current tariff name, version and effective date:
- Energy rates and time bands (kWh):
- Demand/capacity charge: unit, price, measurement interval and billing rule:
- Any historic-peak ratchet, minimum demand, fixed or standby charges:
- Import, export and grid-charging restrictions or agreements:

## 2. Meter interval data

- Available date range and file format:
- Native interval: ____ minutes; time zone and daylight-saving handling:
- Reading unit: average kW / kWh per interval / other:
- Meter boundary: gross facility load / net grid import / other:
- Import and export sign convention:
- Missing readings, duplicates, meter resets and estimated data:
- Production changes, shutdown days and unusual events:
- Bill totals reconciled with interval data? yes / no / unknown:

Do not change timestamps or silently replace missing readings with zero. Retain the original export and document any transformation.

## 3. Existing energy assets

- PV: capacity, inverter models, measured generation, export or curtailment records:
- Generators: fuel, rating, operating hours, usable operating limits and control arrangements:
- Other storage, controllable loads or planned expansion:
- Which assets are already included in the grid-meter readings?

## 4. Outages and critical production

- Recorded outage dates, frequency and duration:
- Critical circuits and running kW:
- Motor starting / transient requirements:
- Required support duration and acceptable transfer interruption:
- Reserve requirement and source of energy during extended outages:
- Existing switching, protection and islanding arrangements:

## 5. Electrical and site inputs

- Connection voltage, transformer and contracted capacity:
- Latest single-line diagram and meter location:
- Space, access, ambient conditions and installation constraints:
- Local connection / protection / fire requirements known so far:
- Owner, EPC and utility responsibilities:
- Capital and service-cost information available; currency and scope:

## What the first review should return

- The primary use case and alternatives worth modelling.
- Confirmed inputs, assumptions and missing information.
- A proposed baseline and dispatch-assessment method.
- Electrical and backup questions requiring local engineering review.
- A defined next step, with no unverified savings or runtime promise.

Keep account numbers and unnecessary personal data out of shared copies. Share project files through an agreed channel; the website inquiry form is an initial contact route, not a promised bill-upload service.
