Local Dealer Financing & Payment Questions

Practical answers for household energy dealers and distributors: equipment-backed bank financing, flexible T/T and L/C arrangements, and clear cooperation terms. Let’s discuss a structure that fits your market and order.

A practical cooperation route

From a dealer equipment plan to bank-supported funding

Start the bank discussion early. Together, we can connect the equipment information, the dealer’s funding plan and the factory’s payment milestones.

First choose the right financing purpose. Equipment the dealer will own and operate may be assessed for equipment or asset finance. Stock intended for resale may instead need inventory, import or working-capital finance. Ask the local bank which structure fits; future equipment is not automatically eligible collateral.
  1. Define the equipment plan

    Dealer + CIMC

Confirm the equipment, order scope, use or resale model, delivery plan and quotation.

  2. Prepare the bank discussion

    Dealer + CIMC

Dealer provides business and cash-flow information. CIMC supports agreed equipment and commercial documents.

  3. Bank reviews the structure

    Local bank + dealer

The bank assesses credit, repayment, own contribution and eligible security. Equipment collateral, insurance and resale conditions depend on the bank and local requirements.

  4. Align funding and factory payment

    Dealer + bank + CIMC

Agree the contract, T/T or L/C route, payment milestones, documents and when bank funds become available before the relevant factory payment is due.

  5. Deliver, operate and repay

    Dealer + local team

Coordinate delivery and service. Dealer repays the bank on the agreed schedule; any sale, transfer or release of financed equipment follows the lender’s conditions.

Flexible discussion, clear milestones

Factory payment structures we can discuss

Choose a starting point below. These are structures for discussion, with amounts and dates agreed for each order.

DISCUSSION ROUTE 01

Staged T/T

Agreed initial T/T → agreed factory milestone → balance at the contracted payment point.

Discuss the initial amount, payment triggers, inspection evidence and shipment timing.

DISCUSSION ROUTE 02

T/T + L/C

Agreed initial T/T → L/C for the agreed remaining amount → complying shipping documents → bank payment under the L/C.

Discuss the issuing bank, L/C wording, validity, document requirements, payment timing and bank charges.

DISCUSSION ROUTE 03

Bank-funded payment

Approved local facility → dealer contribution and bank disbursement as agreed → factory paid through the contracted T/T or L/C route.

Bank financing supports the dealer’s funding; it does not replace the factory’s agreed payment requirements.

Deposit percentage, payment dates, acceptable banks and L/C conditions are confirmed by CIMC’s commercial team and the relevant contract. Deferred L/C terms can be raised for a separate assessment; they are not a standard credit offer.

What each party brings to the discussion

Dealer + local bank

  • Business registration and intended market
  • Own-use or resale model, order volume and cash-flow plan
  • Proposed contribution, borrowing need and repayment route
  • Bank requirements for security, insurance, disbursement and equipment resale

CIMC cooperation

  • Equipment specifications and agreed supply scope
  • Quotation or pro forma invoice as agreed
  • Production and delivery milestones
  • Agreed commercial and shipment documents
  • Clear warranty, service and customer or territory responsibilities

Subject: Equipment purchase financing discussion

Dear [Bank Manager],

We are evaluating a CIMC equipment purchase for [own use / resale] in [country]. The proposed equipment and quantity are [details], with an expected purchase value of [amount] and intended delivery in [period].

We would like to discuss a suitable equipment, inventory or import financing facility. Our proposed contribution is [amount], and our expected repayment source is [business cash flow / other source].

CIMC can support agreed equipment specifications, quotation or pro forma invoice, delivery milestones and commercial documents. Factory payment structures can be discussed through staged T/T, T/T plus L/C, or an approved bank facility supporting the contracted payment route. Final terms are confirmed per order.

Could you advise on eligibility, required documents, security and insurance, contribution, repayment terms, and disbursement timing? We would like to align any approved funding with the factory payment milestones.

Questions from local dealers and distributors

Can CIMC support a local dealer’s equipment-backed bank loan?

Yes. We are open to working with local dealers and distributors on the equipment and commercial information needed for discussions with their bank. Relevant specifications, quotations and delivery information can be provided as agreed. Whether equipment is accepted as collateral, and whether financing is approved, is determined by the participating bank for the specific arrangement.

What information can a dealer request for a financing discussion?

Tell us what your bank requires. We can discuss providing equipment specifications, the agreed supply scope, quotation or pro forma invoice, expected delivery milestones and other relevant commercial documents. The available documents and any additional requirements are confirmed for the order; support does not imply a CIMC credit guarantee.

Can a dealer discuss T/T, L/C or a combination of payment methods?

Yes. We are open to discussing telegraphic transfer (T/T), a letter of credit (L/C), or a combination. Payment stages can be discussed around the order, delivery milestones and bank requirements, taking both parties’ commercial needs into account. The agreed payment structure is confirmed in the relevant contract.

How can the arrangement support a dealer’s interests?

We aim to agree clear payment and delivery milestones, warranty and service responsibilities, and the customer or territory arrangements relevant to the cooperation. This helps the dealer plan its investment and customer commitments. Any territory, customer allocation or exclusivity arrangement needs a separate agreement; it is not automatically included.

Does dealer financing mean household customers can already buy through instalments?

Dealer equipment financing and household customer instalments are separate arrangements. Dealer and local bank-supported customer instalments are part of the proposed household market model. Approved markets, financing partners, deposits, interest rates, repayment schedules and customer eligibility have not been announced here. Customers would receive the actual local terms before deciding to purchase.

How does a local dealer or distributor start the discussion?

Use the partner inquiry form and select Household dealer / distributor. Share your market, intended customer segment, equipment needs, preferred payment route and any bank requirements. You can indicate T/T, L/C, a combination, local bank financing or another arrangement. We can then discuss a practical cooperation structure and the next assessment step.
